Advanced Driving and company driver training

Several organizations such as the IAM and RoSPA conduct advanced driving tests in order to become "advanced drivers" and qualify for membership to their organization. To pass the test you have to drive to a very high standard and, for most of the advanced tests, follow the guidelines laid down in the Police Driver's Manual - "RoadCraft." Our training course can prepare you to take an advanced driving test but we also realize that companies may only want to assess drivers and train them where necessary to meet their duty of care to those driving for work and so we offer the same high standard of training but usually on a shorter (Fleet or Company driver training) course to meet the H&SE requirements of companies. MiDAS Minibus driver assessments and training

MiDAS is applicable to any organisation that transports passengers by road and member organisations range from small voluntary organisations operating one vehicle to local authorities operating large vehicle fleets. Many schools and other educational establishments are members. The Department for Education and Skills recognises, in it's guidance to schools using minibuses, the need to train minibus drivers and cites MiDAS training as good practice for schools. More...

What a few clients have said about us

We were made to feel at ease when driving, therefore giving us more confidence. SH

The trainer was very helpful and clear with a good sense of humour - necessary given the age of our school minibus! SE

The course was excellent, really useful and conducted in a friendly and relaxed manner made me feel very comfortable.

I learnt two keys things. 1.Having been driving for 30 yrs I was never taught about the "Safety bubble" so this has helped me think more about safe space from other vehicles. 2. I did not realise that driving a van had different speed limits something which my company did not advise me during my three month training period. I could have unwittingly got 3 points on my license. The trainer was calm, confident and made me feel nice and relaxed and offered very good constructive feedback
